Notts LGBT+ Network (Notts Lesbian and Gay Switchboard at the time) was given a grant to produce one of the histories and the results of this included:

  • A book looking at local LGBT+ developments since the 1967 Sexual Offences Act. Download a copy of the book below.
  • 20 recordings of memories from members of the LGBT+ community aged between 25 and 85.
  • A photo archive.

Many of the resources were transferred in 2005 to a website and this generated interest from others, who eventually got together to develop the Heritage Lottery funded project, which later became Nottinghamshire’s Rainbow Heritage, where you can find information about LGBT+ history in Nottinghamshire.
