How we are funded
The Notts LGBT+ Network is a registered charity and is run entirely by unpaid volunteers. We receive our funding in several ways:
- Our own fundraising efforts.
- Fundraising and donations from generous individuals.
- Fundraising and donations from organisations and businesses.
- Donations and grants from statutory or charitable organisations / bodies.
Why your donations are so important
It costs around £17,000 per year for us to be able to open our doors and offer our base level of support services. Of course, we would always love to be able to do more.
Like many other charities, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a big impact on our fundraising efforts and donations. While things are slowly improving, we need to ensure that our running costs are covered each year. We have been offering help and support to the LGBT+ community since 1975 and want to make sure we are able to do so for many years to come.

Rainbow Lottery
We participate in the Rainbow Lottery. Tickets are £1 and 50% comes to us, with a further 10% going to other LGBT+ causes.
Become a Friend of the Notts LGBT+ Network
Affectionately known as Fronns (Friends of Notts Network), we have some amazing supporters who donate to us via a monthly standing order. It is up to you how much you set up the standing order for. Even £1 a month makes a big difference to us. As a registered charity, we can claim back 25p in tax from every £1 you kindly donate.
